Baba Ramdev In Legal Trouble
Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev In Legal Trouble!!! On Wednesday, a court in Rohtak has issued a non-bailable warrant against Baba Ramdev. The court has issued warrant for a comment that was made by the yoga guru last year in the Haryana district against those people who are refusing to raise the slogan of ‘Bharat mata ki jai’.
On 12th May, the court had issued a bailable warrant against the yoga guru. The Non-Bailable Warrant is issued by the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Harish Goyal against Baba Ramdev and scheduled the next date of hearing in the case on 3rd August.
OP Chugh (the counsel for the complainant in the case) said, “The order follows Ramdev’s failure to appear before the court yet again today. He also failed to appear despite summons and a bailable warrant,”
Baba Ramdev had commented at a Sadbhawana Sammelan in Rohtak in the month of April 2016. Reportedly, Ramdev had made the remarks to promote peace during the Jat quota stir in the city that suffered violence. Baba said that he would “beheaded lakhs of people for refusing to chant ‘Bharat mata ki jai’.”
After a complaint was filed by former Haryana minister Subhash Batra and Congress leader to register a police case against the yoga guru, on 2nd March Goyal had issued order against Ramdev in this concern. The magistrate had then instructed Baba Ramdev to pay a sum of Rs. 1 lakh as personal security and asked him to appear in court on 14th June.
