India got the winning prestige fourth time in a row, defeating Sri Lanka in ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. Half centuries from Deepti Sharma (78) and Mithali Raj (53) propelled India to 232/8 against Sri Lanka (216/7) in the ICC women’s world cup. Losing both openers early in the innings, Deepti and Mithasli steadied the Indian Ship and etched together a 100-run partnership. India lost regular wickets towards the end though but it managed to pick up fourth win. Sri Lanka couldn’t get to the target achieved in the end with Jhulan Goswami and Poonam Yadav picking up two wickets each.
