Railways have launched a new ticketing App named “IRCTC Rail Connect” to facilitate booking of train tickets in a faster and more efficient way. IRCTC New App Launch on Tuesday by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is the best step to remove the stress of people who used to wait in long queues for tickets. People who are still suffering from demonetization drawbacks can make use of this app to purchase tickets. Rail Connect App Launched for Ticket Booking is surely great news for most of the people. Prabhu told that a new user account for registration and activation can be directly done with the help of the IRCTC Rail Connect.

Suresh Prabhu in an interview said, “Currently e-ticketing system caters to over 10 lakh passengers daily (comprising 58 percent of total reserved passengers). And to increase the ease to users, a new Android-based mobile application for reserved booking IRCTC Rail Connect has been developed.”

Prabhu explained about the new mobile IRCTC app, in this regard he said “Rail Connect has been developed to bring the power of next generation e-ticketing system like high performance and enhanced security.”

IRCTC launches new android app to facilitate the android users to get tickets through digital transaction. It is clear that the new IRCTC App for ticket booking will replace the old existing IRCTC app.

According to Suresh Prabhu, IRCTC new app supports features like synchronization of mobile app including Next Generation e-Ticketing for ticket booking, 24/7 hours service with no time based checks, simple and it is very simple to use even for the first time user. It also includes ladies, Tatkal, general and Premium-Tatkal quota. Some new features like advanced security system with self-assigned PIN to login without even submitting username and password on each time you access the IRCTC app are added in IRCTC Rail Connect. He added that the new IRCTC application will be included with IRCTC e-wallet for easier, faster and stressed free transactions.

Prabhu said “Through IRCTC Rail Connect app users can view and cancel old mobile app tickets also. The new app will provide payment gateway to over 40 banks to facilitate payments through net Banking, credit or debit cards and wallets like Paytm, PayU, Mobikwik,”

“The IRCTC Rail Connect will also be inter-connected with IRCTC AIR, Food on Track mobile apps to facilitate booking of air tickets and food through e-catering.”
