According to the official reports, the pilot will first carry out in Pondicherry, vizag, Udaipur, Jamshedpur and Chandigarh. Firstly, these oil firms will carry out the pilot on the mentioned cities before implementing it all over the country.

In Delhi, IOC petrol pumps charge 66.29 Rs for per litre, BPCL petrol pumps charged 66.37 Rs per litre and HPCL petrol pumps charge Rs 66.48 for per litre.

And if we talk about the diesel rates, then HPCL pump are charging highest rate of Rs 55.69, IOC charge Rs 55.61 while BPC petrol pumps charges Rs 55.66. on April 1, 2017, the prices of petrol was noted downhill by Rs 3.77 per litre and prices of diesel were also downhill by 2.91 Rs. Mr. Ashok said that the rate of petrol as diesel both will remains same in same city or municipality. But yes, there could be some marginal gap also depending on petrol outlet.
